The article covers how the gluten-free diet has been touted as a "cure all", the immensely rapid growth of the gluten-free food industry, and how the food we eat today is not the same food our great-grandparents feasted upon.
Dr. Alessio Fasano, pediatric gastroenterologist and founder and director of the University of Maryland Center for Celiac Research weighs in as well, detailing celiac disase and gluten intolerance.
